Hailey & Merritte |The Parker Palm Springs Wedding

Tell us about your venue:  Having our wedding in Palm Springs was an obvious decision for us.  Not only because we wanted a bohemian chic wedding vibe, but also because we wanted guest to feel like they were on vacation!  Merritte and I toured some amazing places in Palm Springs but none as versatile and detailed as the Parker Palm Springs. Our ceremony was a short walk through  large moroccan wooden doors which transported you onto the largest of the sprawling lawns attached to the Gene Autry house.   

Note from the photographer: Being a destination wedding photographer I have seen some pretty amazing venues! The Parker is every palm springs wedding photographers dream… and then some. With large prehistoric looking palms to bohemian interior design, the place is a real dream. 

What about the details?:  The “alter” was a 16 foot naked tee pee with cascading wild flowers and scattered disco balls along the lawn. Navajo and Persian rugs lined the aisle. 

What was something unique about your wedding?: Im totally obsessed with flamingos so we absolutely had to have some of these walking around for our guests to enjoy instead of the traditional photo booth or lawn games we have seen so many times.

Any funny stories?: We went through way more tequila than the Parker could have ever imagined!! By the end of the night we were scattered across the lawn spraying champagne and tossing disco balls around in the air.
