Mikhaela & Tony- Smoky Hollows Studio

Smoky Hollows is a unique and moody event space in El Segundo. I can’t get over how perfectly everything turned out for Mikhaela & Tony! For as non traditional as this wedding may look, Tony was actually a munk before getting engaged! I loved Mikhaela’s sparkly gown with the dramatic lighting and candle lit ceremony. I need more brides who embrace non traditional event spaces and photography. Mikhaela had a clear vision and understood what she wanted, it made my job fun and creative. Everything about this wedding had me like OO!! Ahh! Blooms By Breesa Lee (clearly one of my favorite florist in SD) killed it with a circular installation made with her own bare hands. A floral statement piece can really bring a warehouse setting alive. I encourage you…if you’re planning a warehouse/urban wedding, talk with your florist and create some sort of alter configuration out of flowers. Do less on your tablescapes and invest in something we can use for bridals and for ceremony. Mikhaela and Tony also had the perfect bridal party size. I know it’s hard to choose between your friends but at the end of the day a wedding goes much smoother the less bridal party you have. Think of it this way, if you have a large bridal party…everyone assumes someone else is helping. With a few “maids” you’ve got their attention and they are making sure you have everything you need, and trust me you will need them. Mikhaela’s girls were so attentive and we kept to the timeline because of it. To conclude, everyone should have smoke bombs at their wedding, hahah. xX
