On Oahu Hawaii you can find Dillingham Ranch, a picturesque wedding venue just down a dirt road lined with hundreds of palm trees. I’m not always a wedding photographer on Oahu Hawaii… but it’s such a treat when I am!
Like a jungle disco dream, Bustle Events (planner) and Ocean Dreamer (florist) made Shauna and Steven’s vision come to life.
Disco balls dangled over the dance floor and every detail was divine. I adore a bride who cares about all the nitty gritty details because on the wedding day every small details becomes part of the big vision. I feel so energized and creative when my couples care about the aesthetic of their wedding day. Shauna is a perfect example of not following Pinterest trends. You won’t see any blush colored bridesmaid dresses here!
Shauna got her veil & dress from Rue De Seine. Steven rocked a rust colored suit from River Island with some custom vans!
Conveniently, right across from Dillingham Ranch there is a polo club. If you pass through the polo club you arrive at a beautiful and nearly private beach. It’s about a 5 min trip max, perfect for escaping during sunset for a few photos.
Both Shauna & Steven work in the liquor industry. Their bar was decked out and their cocktails were bangin’. We carved out some time during cocktail hour to get Steven behind the bar.
The orange linen napkins were the perfect pop of color with the neutral pampas grass center pieces. I love that Shauna & Steven opted for dried florals even in a tropical environment. They really brought a touch of Palm Springs to the island! Also, note the disco balls inside the center pieces!! Adorable!
Dillingham Ranch is the perfect outdoor venue on Oahu. You’ve got tons of different options for ceremony & reception layout. I personally love the reception being on the front lawn underneath the big tree. Don’t forget to invest in market lighting for outdoor receptions!
