Ashley & Brett are the definition of cool LA peeps. They are getting married at the Tumbleweed Sanctuary in Joshua Tree later this year. We wanted to switch it up and do an Los Angeles engagement session since they will have their wedding photos in JT.
When their idea of shooting in Santa Monica didn’t work out due to weather (fog) we decided to hit the famous Rodeo Drive in LA! Brett & Ashley are so easy to photograph. I mean come on…. look at em! But more importantly than their good looks, they are kind, humble & totally in love.
We Strolled the streets of Los Angeles and found some cool walls, drank some wine and then made our way over to the palm tree lined streets for sunset. I always suggest a quick drink before we get started. Liquid courage + it also gives us a chance to catch up on the wedding planning!
I love a good lift! Brett & Ashley were down for all the crazy, energetic engagement session prompts. Candids are my jam but sometimes for engagement sessions we have to create a story and set the couple up into prompts and poses. It’s different than a wedding and it’s good practice to work together prior to me being your wedding photographer.
I cannot wait to channel my inner Joshua Tree Wedding photographer role! Their wedding will take place at one of my favorite venues. The Tumbleweed Sanctuary.
