What inspired your Festival Wedding theme?
It was extremely important to both of us that our wedding be a reflection of who we are. We organize a Burning Man theme camp with our friends where we host parties and we wanted to recreate that experience for our wedding guests.
What’s your love story?
We are both from the east coast and moved to San Diego in 2008 but our paths did not cross until years later when we met at a party. We ended up talking that evening until sunrise and had our first date soon after. We immediately connected on our abhorrence of norms and passion for travel. This would lead us to many adventures together and years later our engagement during a trip to Turkey and India.
Tell us about your wedding venue!
The Fire Garden in Bonsall has a magical desert vibe with fire sculptures and art to explore throughout the property. It was the perfect setting to bring our vision to life, even allowing us to do some fire breathing into the night!
What details were unique to your wedding?
We chose to tie inspiration from the countries we visited during our engagement into the theme of the wedding, complete with a tea dome adorned with lanterns and exotic fruits and cheeses.
We couldn’t have been happier with the way the day turned out and the memories we were able to create with friends and family.
What Did You Eat?
We served Paella, a Spanish seafood and rice dish for dinner and an ice cream sandwich station for dessert.
